Bio
Coming from three generations of funeral directors, I decided to do something different. I came to Boise to study marketing and marry my high school sweetheart. Soon after graduating, I started working with Tricycle, a boutique branding firm in downtown Boise. I am now headed back to school for accounting and my CPA. This is me: a traveler, a teacher and a romantic. I am a drummer, a nerd and a climber. I am anayltical, orgnaized, loyal and steady.
5 Elements
Teacher: I have been playing the drums for eleven years and teaching for three. I have helped to lead the marching band at Eagle High School to its highest scoring performance in school history. Besides group teaching, I also teach private lessons. I blog regularly about percussion on Cleanbeats.
Volunteer: In early 2010, I helped to launch Student Venture at Eagle High School. Student Venture is the high school ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. With my wife's help and student support, we hold weekly meetings and outreaches. Now with my wife and along with some friends, we have moved to help at Rocky Mountain High School in order to help develop this ministry.
Outdoorsman: Fly fishing near Bear Valley, bouldering at Table Rock or skiing at Bogus Basin, I enjoy the outdoors. Fly fishing and skiing are new to me since I moved to Idaho. My father introduced me to rock climbing in high school and I have been hooked ever since.
Traveler: I am not quite a world traveler, but am aspiring to be so. In Slovenia, I was able to help teach English to a group of students who desperately desired to learn. In India, I was able to share Jesus with hundreds of students. In Australia, I was able to teach youth workers how to share their faith using Evangelism Explosion.
Accountant: My analytical mind loves numbers. Currently, I am student pursuing my BBA of Accountancy. I am also an active participant in Beta Alpha Psi at Boise State Univeristy. While in school, I am taking the attitude of a sponge to learn all that I can in this brief time period before I test for my CPA. Upon graduation, I would like to work as an auditor in public accounting in the Portland-Metro area. For more information, take a look at my resume.
Marketer: Post graduation, I met Justin Foster and after 1000 phone calls, he let me interview. I started as a marketing grunt producing podcasts, taking detailed notes and creating templates that would be used to write brand strategies. I then spent a short time focused on client care. I helped companies understand and use social media while continuing to develop a process to guide clients through the agency's marketing process. I served as the Director of Marketing where I managed the agency's marketing and the development of processes for client interaction. I am now working with ICON Credit Union to help develop their marketing efforts.
